From the choice of furniture and wallpaper to the wall art and toys that decorate your nursery, there are an array of elements and ideas to express yourself through in this space. Alternatively you can create your very own eclectic montage of nursery ideas to arrive at your very own style and balance.
As a rule of thumb, nurseries are best rendered in gentle pastel shades, but there is no reason you cannot bring vivid bursts of color to the décor. Within the established color palette, do not hold back, overlaying different pastels for a celebration of new life. Pour pastels into large surfaces and walls to create color washes, or allow individual elements, wall art and furnishings to playfully float in these. Washes help weave larger nurseries together, while more delicate theme and motifs help enhance tighter and smaller spaces. Bathe the space in generous natural light during the day, and soft ambient lighting at night.
